Screws and accessories Cortical, spongiosa, malleolar, scaphoid Choice of alloy All Biotrauma Line products are made of a special steel denominated AISI 316L ESR, which is the best, state-of-the-art material, specially developed for orthopedic applications. In addition to the other advantages offered by the AISI 316L alloy, the exclusive, final remelting treatment known as electro slag remelting (ESR) provides an ulterior phase in the process of slag* elimination. The end result is a line of products (Bioimpinati Biotrauma) characterized by: • biocompatibility; • resistance to corrosion; • optimum mechanical properties; • maximum reliability. Products Cortical screws Cortical screws with a hexagonal, hemispherical head. Non self-threading Screws Available in five different diameters (4.5, 3.5, 2.7, 2.0, 1.5 mm). Self-threading screwsi Similar to the previous type in sizes, these are characterized by three cutting grooves at 120° at the start of the screw. The 4.5 and 3.5 mm Ć screws are standard supply, while self-threading 2.7, 2.0 and 1.5 mm Ć screws are only available on request.
Spongiosa Screws Hexagonal cut hemispherical head spongiosa screws. . Available in three different diameters (6.5, 4.0, 3.5 mm) with partial or full thread. The 3.5 mm ø screws are only available in the full thread version.
